One morning during breakfast I commented to Sid and Kathy that the clouds looked ominous and we should spend the day off the summits. Over my objections, they insisted a hike up Enchantment Peak would be fine. As we finished our breakfast a bolt of lightning struck the summit of Enchantment Peak and a rain shower chased us under a tarp shelter we had erected. The rain shower was soon over and the skies cleared to the point I felt it safe to hike up Enchantment Peak, but they refused.
